SMITH RANCH HORSES

THE BEST OF TWO WORLDS

Raised on the rugged open range of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, as horses have been for hundreds of years, the Smith horse herd combines the stamina of the ranch horses of yesteryear with the advanced breeding of modern quarter horse blood lines. Color, conformation, coordination, endurance, and strength are some of the outstanding characteristics of this excellent herd of ranch horses. They are ranch horses bred and raised in the natural manner. Unlike Mustangs, the Smith family has refined their selection of horses for nearly 80 years into these magnificent animals, embodying the spirit of the real American west and Native American Culture. The Smith Ranch is located on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Central Oregon.

These select horses are now being offered nation wide; whereas, in the past, they were only available to the local Central Oregon area.

Think of the potential of these great horses as mounts for yourself, your family, or your ranch hands. This is a golden opportunity for you to obtain for yourself a living part of this American legend.

Smith horses have proven their superior athletic qualities in ranch work, cross-country races and as professional rodeo stock.

Jason and his father Buck have used foundation quarter horse bloodlines for the past 30 years. Buck maintains a band of registered mares in what's known as "Bucks Pasture". Buck has hand selected stallions and mares from his pasture which he has used to improve his range herd.

These horses brought back from the range have an uncanny ability to jump, maneuver trails and work cattle.

These horses are very athletic and would be excellent prospects.
